Test your technology the way it will be used

Lab tests tell you whether hardware works. We test how it performs with people, procedures and other systems under operational pressure. Validate technology, procedures and human performance at The Terminal in Delft. When the next question depends on terrain, isolation, duration or deployment logistics, advance to a field campaign designed around your objective.

01

The Terminal (Delft)

Our test facility — open now for early-stage, proof-of-concept testing, with the permanent build-out in progress. Habitat, spacesuits, communications and mission control are installed and ready. Book anything from a few hours to a multi-day simulated mission.

02

Field testing

Lava tubes, caves, glaciers and outback terrain — extreme environments used to reproduce specific lunar-relevant operational conditions. We design and run the full campaign around your experiment: site selection, logistics, crew, mission control. From concept to a crewed mission in as little as six months, depending on location

03

Events & Workshops

Our team’s expertise spans exogeology, astrobiology, space physics, mission operations and extreme-environment expeditions. Book talks, workshops, training sessions and student programmes.

How to begin

You have a defined facility test

Share the hardware, procedure or research protocol, preferred timing and the evidence you need. We’ll configure the appropriate Terminal format.

You need a custom route

Discuss maturity, required conditions, crew involvement, data needs and constraints. We’ll recommend controlled testing, a field campaign, or a staged route between them.

Need evidence at a higher Technology Readiness Level?

Technology Readiness Level, or TRL, is a 1–9 scale used to describe how far a technology has progressed from principle to proven operation.

The Terminal supports early proof-of-concept and operational preparation. When your next milestone requires demonstration in a relevant environment, ICEE.Space can design a field campaign around the required evidence.

Process

01

Define the requirements:

technology, procedure or research question, its stage, and the decision the test must support.

02

Configure the test:

facility setup, mission format, crew involvement, scenarios, data needs and specialist support, agreed before work begins.

03

Run and review:

conduct the test, then review observations, data and next steps against the original objective.

Not sure which format fits?

Tell us the objective, current maturity and evidence you need. We will recommend the shortest credible route.
